In a significant move, Chinese automaker Changan has announced its entry into the European market. The company, which has been producing vehicles since 1984, has chosen Autohaus Günther as its first partner in Germany.

Founded in 1967, Autohaus Günther is an experienced automotive group that operates nine locations in Hamburg, the surrounding area, Berlin, and Frankfurt. With a strong market presence, Autohaus Günther aims to provide the best conditions for establishing Changan in Germany.

Changan operates 21 plants worldwide and produces passenger cars, pickups, and light commercial vehicles. One of the largest automotive groups in China, Changan has over 40 years of experience in vehicle production.

The first Changan vehicle to make its European debut will be the Changan Deepal S05, a compact electric SUV, which is scheduled to be available in trade by autumn following its debut at the IAA in September. While the Changan Deepal S07 has already been introduced in Germany through Autohaus Günther, the 4.75-meter-long fully electric SUV is currently available in the market.

Ethan Yin, Executive Deputy General Manager of Changan Europe Business Unit, expressed delight about the partnership with Autohaus Günther. Frank Solbrig, Head of Electromobility at Autohaus Günther, shared similar sentiments, expressing excitement about the partnership for the launch of Changan vehicles in Germany.

Changan employs around 110,000 people worldwide and plans to introduce eight new models to the market in the next three years. The company's headquarters are in Chongqing, China.

In addition to brands such as Nissan, Kia, Maserati, Corvette, Cadillac, Subaru, Isuzu, and Changan, Autohaus Günther distributes vehicles from the Chinese automaker. However, as of now, Autohaus Günther is Changan's only partner in Germany's dealer network, with no second partner publicly announced.

Changan's entry into Europe marks an exciting development in the automotive industry, and with Autohaus Günther at the helm, the company is poised to make a significant impact in the German market.
