Charity benefit night kick-starts school with a 2000 euro grant, backed by Lichtblick Stein e.V., at Steiner Gärdla.
In the heart of Stein, a city in Germany, the Stein Social Club "Lichtblick" e.V. has been making a significant impact in the community for many years. Their latest endeavour, a benefit evening at Garten Steiner, has brought in a generous donation of 2,000 Euros.
The event, held on August 15th, was attended by several notable figures, including Mayor Kurt Kroemer, Johanna Dippold from the "Lichtblick" social club, and representatives from the association. Kosta Chatzis, the event owner and host, presented a symbolic check during the event.
Mayor Kroemer praised the event as a "great example of lived responsibility in society." He commended the association's work, which includes mediation of aid for job seekers, a repair café, reading sponsorships at primary schools, and a clothing distribution service.
The funds raised will be used by the association to support needy students. This includes providing school bags, writing materials, and other necessary supplies for the start of the new school year. The support will be particularly beneficial for schoolchildren, single parents, or the elderly.
Johanna Dippold from the "Lichtblick" social club stated that the donation will help them provide targeted support where state aid often falls short. The association also works closely with the Fürth Tafel to ensure that their efforts reach those in need.
