Check out the upcoming movie adaption of the book Wilding. Here's your guide on how to catch the film's premiere.
In the heart of the UK, a remarkable transformation is taking place at Knepp Castle. The film "Wilding", directed by David Allen, charts the journey of Isabella Tree and Charlie Burrell as they embark on a rewilding project that has turned their 400-year-old estate into one of the most significant rewilding experiments in Europe.
Set for release this month, "Wilding" is based on Isabella Tree's bestselling book published in 2018. The film tells the story of their ambitious endeavour to return their land to nature, a process that involved introducing free-roaming animals to the land, resulting in a skyrocketing diversity of plants and wildlife.
The garden at Knepp Castle was not left untouched in this transformation. Designers Tom Stuart-Smith and James Hitchmough applied rewilding principles to create a mosaic of dynamic habitats for wildlife. The walled garden, too, was recently transformed, with Tom Stuart-Smith at the helm.
For those interested in learning more about the rewilded garden at Knepp, further information can be found. For a glimpse into the mind of the head gardener, Charlie Harpur, he features on the Talking Gardens podcast.
"Wilding" is on general release in cinemas in the UK and Ireland from 14 June. To discover a cinema showing "Wilding" near you, head here. However, a review of the film and a link to watch the trailer are not provided in the article.
