Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) Holds Successful Show in Chicago
The Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) hosted a bustling sales-building event in Chicago from July 16-18, 2013, at McCormick Place. Known as ASI Chicago, the show drew over 20,000 attendees, making it the industry's most popular event.
Registration for the 2014 ASI Shows will open on July 19 at www.asishow.com. The 2014 edition promises to be just as exciting, with special presentations including keynotes by former President George W. Bush and the stars of the hit ABC reality show, "Shark Tank."
The event featured 675 exhibiting companies, including numerous Counselor Top 40 suppliers and 83 exhibitors new to Chicago this year. Attendees explored niche sales ops at three specialized pavilions - New to Chicago, Incentives, and ASI Decorating.
The ASI Education Conference attracted over 700 suppliers and distributors, offering free training sessions on scoring a million dollars in sales and ASI's latest mobile and online business innovations. Visitors to the ASI Decorating Pavilion marveled at the Stitches Hopeful Hearts Quilt, comprised of 12 quilt squares created by decorators from around the nation in honor of causes close to their heart.
The 2013 Counselor Awards were held at the Art Institute of Chicago during ASI Chicago. The winner of the Counselor Person of the Year 2013 was Greg Muzzillo, while Chris Lee, chief executive of Brand Addition, was named 2013 Counselor International Person of the Year.
Seventeen distributor companies, including Network, EmbroidMe, iPROMOTEu, WorkflowOne, and HALO Branded Solutions, chose the Windy City to hold major sales meetings. Christopher Gardner delivered a keynote speech at ASI Chicago, inspiring attendees with personal stories and motivational messages.
