In a tragic turn of events, an eight-year-old boy named Liam Park was injured in a hit-and-run incident in Fort Worth, Texas, on Friday evening. The incident occurred at around 8 p.m. on Vela Lane.

According to reports, Liam was playing with friends on his bicycle when a black SUV struck him. The driver got out of the vehicle, looked at the injured Liam, and then left the scene without providing assistance or contacting the authorities.

Liam suffered severe road rash, extending from his face to his arm, and bruising on his bottom half. Fortunately, the injuries are not life-threatening, and he was told he does not have any broken bones, only skin injuries. However, Liam is experiencing significant pain, both mentally and physically, and finding it hard to sleep due to the discomfort.

Since Friday, Liam's parents, including his mother, Baylea Christiansen, have been door-knocking, asking neighbors for any information about the driver who fled the scene. As of now, no information about the driver of the black SUV has been publicly available.

Upon finding out about the incident, Baylea Christiansen immediately rushed to the hospital. Liam was taken to the hospital and has since been released. The Fort Worth Police Department's Traffic Investigation Unit has been notified and will take over the investigation.

Baylea Christiansen expressed hope that the driver will be found and held accountable for the incident. She and Liam's family are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the driver.

The Fort Worth community is urged to keep Liam and his family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. If you have any information about the incident, please contact the Fort Worth Police Department.
