Child perishes in storm drain: 5-year-old girl tragically passed away following being swept away, claims family
In a heartbreaking incident, a 5-year-old girl named Zaria Miller lost her life in Florida. The tragedy occurred in Atlanta, as reported by WWSB/Gray News.
Zaria was playing in a ditch under the supervision of her grandmother when the incident happened. The heavy rains that day caused a water main to break, increasing the water flow and creating more suction in a nearby culvert. Unfortunately, Zaria was swept into the storm drain due to the increased suction.
The grandmother made an immediate 911 call about the accident involving Zaria. Rescuers searched for the young girl and, after approximately 200 yards west of where she was last seen, found Zaria floating face up in the water.
Despite the heroic efforts of the rescuers, Zaria could not be revived. The news source for this update is WWSB via Gray Local Media, Inc.
In a recent update on the GoFundMe page set up for Zaria, it was stated that she has received healing and is now in the arms of Jesus.
It is important to note that no charges will be filed in connection with Zaria's death. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Zaria's family and friends during this difficult time.
