Chinese Taipei Wins the 2025 Little League Baseball World Series

The Little League World Series is reaching its climax, with some exciting matches scheduled for the remaining days. On Sunday, Aug. 24, the LLB World Series Third Place game will feature Metro Region 4 against Caribbean Region 2, and the Championship game will pit Asia-Pacific Region 7 against Mountain Region 0.

The tournament kicked off on August 16 with 38 games, and we've seen some thrilling moments so far. For instance, in Game 13, Australia Region 5 faced Europe-Africa Region, while Game 14 saw New England Region 7 take on Southwest Region 3.

One of the standout moments was in Game 19, where Chinese Taipei's Lin Chin-Tse pitched a no-hitter, clearing the bases with a triple down the left field line in the fifth inning. This stellar performance contributed to a shutout victory for Chinese Taipei.

In the final, Chinese Taipei defeated Nevada 7-0, with the score remaining the same for the rest of the game. This victory marks Chinese Taipei's first win in the Little League World Series, making them the new champions.

The coach of the winning team, Lai Min-Nan, led the team to victory, demonstrating exceptional strategy and team spirit. It's worth noting that the last international team to win the Little League World Series was Japan in 2017.

Meanwhile, Nevada struggled with wild pitches and walks throughout their game, failing to match Chinese Taipei's performance. Thursday, Aug. 21, saw a series of matches, including Game 33 between Caribbean Region 3 and Latin America Region 1, and Game 34 between Mountain Region 5 and Southeast Region 3.

Saturday, Aug. 23, will host the International Championship between Asia-Pacific Region 1 and Caribbean Region 0, and the United States Championship between Mountain Region 8 and Metro Region 2. Friday, Aug. 22, is the Little League Home Run Derby day, adding more excitement to the tournament.
