Church Intrusion: Unauthorized Entry into a Place of Worship Termed as a Breach
A break-in at a church on Mozartstraße in Heiden has left authorities seeking witnesses and information. According to a report by the Kreispolizeibehörde Borken, unknown individuals forced their way into the presbytery of the church some time between Sunday afternoon (24.08.2025, 12.00 PM) and Tuesday morning (26.08.2025, 09.30 AM).
Upon gaining access, the perpetrators opened and searched cabinets and shelves within the presbytery. However, it is currently unclear whether they made off with any loot. The police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information relevant to the investigation to come forward.
