Citizens of Dormagen can now access candidate information for the upcoming mayoral election online.

The digital Candidate Check, an initiative aimed at all interested parties, particularly young and first-time voters in Dormagen, has been revived for the upcoming 2025 Mayor election. Originally launched by the Dormagen city administration in 2020, this platform has been collaboratively reintroduced with the Dormagen agency Kopfsturm.

The digital Candidate Check offers a compact and personal glimpse into the people running for the highest office in Dormagen. The videos, designed to show what motivates the candidates, what they stand for, and what drives them, aim to help voters form their own opinions. The format deliberately avoids political jargon to make local politics more accessible.

For the 2025 Dormagen Mayor election, all eight candidates have provided short, authentic video sequences introducing themselves personally. These candidates include Erik Lierenfeld (SPD), Anissa Saysay (CDU), Torsten Günzel (FDP), René Jungbluth (The Greens), Pierre Milbrath (UWG), Ahmet Dogan (independent), Nils Bergschneider (Die Partei), and Thomas Freitag (Zentrum). The digital Candidate Check, titled "Who are you?", is available online at www.ourwebsite/candidatecheck.

Interested parties can find all videos and further information about the candidates on this platform. The digital Candidate Check is an invaluable resource for those seeking to learn more about the candidates before casting their vote in the 2025 Dormagen Mayor election.
