Codere Online's Chief Financial Officer, Oscar Iglesias, steers towards a position on the Board of Directors.

In a recent announcement, Codere Online, a leading online gaming company, has revealed that its current Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Oscar Iglesias, will be stepping down from his role. The decision comes due to personal reasons, and Iglesias' resignation is effective either upon the transfer of responsibilities to a successor or December 31, 2025.

Iglesias, who joined Codere Online in 2021, has been a driving force behind the company's growth and transformation. Prior to joining Codere Online, he was employed by Codere Group, the parent company of Codere Online, holding important roles such as Global Head of Corporate Development and Deputy CFO.

During his tenure at Codere Online, Iglesias played an instrumental role in the company's successful public listing in 2021, completed via a strategic merger with DD3 Acquisition Corp. II. This significant milestone marked Codere Online's journey from a private company to a Nasdaq-listed organization.

Iglesias also served on the Codere Online Board of Directors from 2021 to 2023, demonstrating his commitment and dedication to the company. His contributions were recognised by Gonzaga Higuero, Codere Online's Chairman of the Board, who expressed gratitude for Iglesias' leadership over the past decade. Higuero described Iglesias as a trusted partner and a driving force behind Codere Online's growth.

In the upcoming transition, Iglesias has expressed his desire to continue supporting Codere Online as both a Board member and shareholder of the company. Higuero also pointed out that Iglesias will remain closely involved with the company as a member of the Board.

Codere Online is now looking for a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The company has announced Javier MartΓ as the successor to Oscar Iglesias. This transition is subject to shareholder approval.

In the second quarter of this year, Codere Online reported solid revenue of €54.8m. The company's average monthly active players in Q2 soared by 7% year over year, reflecting the company's strong performance.

Iglesias joined Codere Online at a time of significant growth and transformation, and his leadership has undoubtedly contributed to the company's success. As he steps down from his role as CFO, we look forward to seeing his continued involvement and support for Codere Online.
