Collision on Trierer Street in Mechernich-Vussem: Two Injured

In an unfortunate incident that took place on Thursday afternoon, a collision occurred between a cyclist and a motorcyclist on Trierer Street in Mechernich-Vussem, Germany.

The cyclist, a 17-year-old resident of Mechernich, and the motorcyclist, a 61-year-old individual from Nettersheim, both sustained injuries in the accident. The motorcyclist, born in 1964, was traveling on Trierer Street from Mechernich-Eiserfey towards Mechernich at the time of the collision. The cyclist, who was using the left-hand sidewalk, intended to cross the street when the collision occurred.

It appears that the cyclist failed to notice the motorcyclist while crossing the road, resulting in the unfortunate incident. Both parties were using the same street at the time of the collision.

The exact circumstances leading up to the collision are still under investigation, but it occurred on August 21st, at around 1:30 PM. The location of the collision was on Trierer Street in Mechernich-Vussem.

Both the cyclist and the motorcyclist were taken to the hospital for treatment following the incident. Our thoughts are with them for a speedy recovery.
