Collision between Polish and Hungarian vehicles, resulting in injuries reported
In the heart of Hagen, on Friday afternoon at 5:40 PM, a traffic accident occurred on Alexanderstraße near house number 6. Two Mercedes vehicles, a black SUV and a grey A-Class, were involved in the collision in the middle of the road.
The elderly driver of the black Mercedes SUV, an 82-year-old man, was driving with his wife, also 82, who was a passenger. Despite the impact of the collision sending the black Mercedes into a parked Fiat 500 and striking a nearby house wall, both the elderly couple and the driver of the grey Mercedes A-Class, a 20-year-old, managed to avoid serious injury. However, they were taken to a hospital for medical checks as a precaution.
Independent witnesses reported that the 20-year-old was likely driving significantly above the speed limit. The grey Mercedes A-Class sustained significant damage and is no longer roadworthy. The same applies to the black Mercedes SUV and the parked Fiat 500, as well as the house wall.
The Hagen Police are investigating the cause of the accident, with the traffic commission of the Hagen police station taking the lead. The 20-year-old driver was taken to a hospital and is considered seriously injured. The name of the young driver is not provided in the sources, only described as a 20-year-old man driving a grey Mercedes A-Class.
