Collision involving BMW and truck on A3 highway, causing a significant accident between Rosenhof and Wörth
On Saturday morning at around 7 a.m., a serious road accident occurred on the A3 between Rosenhof and Worth an der Donau in the Regensburg district. The incident involved a BMW and a truck, causing significant disruption to traffic in the area.
The accident resulted in injuries to four occupants of the BMW. Three of them sustained slight injuries, while one person suffered serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Remarkably, the truck driver remained unharmed.
The impact of the collision caused the BMW to overturn and come to rest on its side on a meadow next to the road. As a result, the right lane and the hard shoulder were temporarily blocked. Traffic was rerouted on the left lane past the accident site on the A3 towards Passau.
The Neutraubling fire department was called to the scene of the accident to manage the situation. The total damage to the BMW and the truck was estimated to be around 15,000 euros.
The cause of the accident on the A3 between Rosenhof and Worth an der Donau on Saturday around 7 a.m. has not been publicly disclosed. It is unknown why the BMW collided with the trailer of the truck.
