Collision on A3 Highway: Four Vehicles Involved - Three People Hurt and Severe Delays in Traffic Flow
On Monday morning, a serious traffic accident occurred on the A3 heading towards Oberhausen between the Ohligser Heide interchange and the Hilden junction. The incident took place between 8:45 AM and 9:00 AM, resulting in significant traffic disruptions.
Four vehicles were involved in the accident, and three individuals were injured. The vehicles were no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away from the accident site. The Solingen fire department and rescue service personnel, along with additional personnel from Langenfeld, were dispatched to the scene to attend to the injured and manage the situation.
The injured individuals were transported to a hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, no further information about the condition or number of the injured has been released.
The accident caused more than 5 km of traffic jam due to the lane closures. Two lanes on the A3 were closed for rescue operations and accident investigation. The Solingen fire department and rescue service personnel continued their operations at the accident site.
The injured persons in the traffic accident between Solingen and Hilden were a 53-year-old man from Solingen and his 15-year-old daughter, who were passengers in a Skoda. The daughter was hospitalized for inpatient treatment, while the man received outpatient care.
