Collision on A9: A truck slams into a motorhome, leaving three individuals critically hurt, among them a six-year-old child.
The Autobahn A9 was fully closed on Friday evening in the district of Roth due to a multi-vehicle accident near Schwanstetten. The incident, which involved a motorhome, a tractor-trailer, and several other vehicles, resulted in multiple injuries.
According to reports, the motorhome had a tire puncture before the accident and was pulled over to the hard shoulder. However, the tractor-trailer collided with the motorhome, causing a chain reaction that involved at least two other cars.
The driver of the motorhome, a 50-year-old individual, and his passenger (35) were severely injured but not in life-threatening condition. A six-year-old child was also among the injured. Two other occupants of the motorhome (8 and 14) and the 50-year-old truck driver sustained light injuries. Six people were injured in total.
Firefighters from Allersberg and Hilpoltstein were on the scene, and several ambulance vehicles took the injured to nearby hospitals. The names of the individuals involved in the accident have not been disclosed.
The accident is currently under investigation by the Feucht Traffic Police, and witnesses who saw the accident are being asked to call 09128/91970 to help clarify the sequence of events. The A9 towards Berlin was temporarily closed due to the accident, but one lane was reopened at around 10:15 pm.
The accident occurred in the district of Roth, and the Autobahn was fully closed in connection with the accident investigation on the A9 near Schwanstetten. No further details were provided about the identities of the individuals involved in the accident.
