Collision on B19 results in multiple fatalities, woman suffers severe injuries

On a fateful Sunday evening, August 17, 2025, a tragic traffic accident occurred on the B19 in the district of Würzburg, Germany. The accident involved three vehicles - a VW, a Seat, and a Mercedes.

The 27-year-old driver of the Seat was involved in the collision near the driver's door of the VW. The drivers of the Seat and Mercedes, as well as their passengers, were among the injured. Sadly, two initial fatalities were reported at the scene of the accident.

An 82-year-old man died at the scene, while another victim, an 84-year-old woman, passed away on August 24, 2025. The third fatality was the 84-year-old woman who was in the same vehicle as the two previously deceased individuals.

Six other vehicle occupants were injured in the accident. The 82-year-old man who died at the scene was the driver of the VW, and the 84-year-old woman who died on August 24 was his severely injured passenger.

Local fire departments were quickly on the scene to assist, and the B19 was closed during the accident investigation. The injured were treated by emergency services and taken to different hospitals.

On August 18, another fatality was reported, making the total number of deaths from the accident three. The 84-year-old passenger of the VW also died on August 24, 2025.

The accident investigation was conducted by the Ochsenfurt police with the help of an expert from the public prosecutor's office. The names of the victims have not been publicly disclosed in the reports.
