Collisions on the roads of Fulda and Hersfeld-Rotenburg counties, Ohio

In a series of unfortunate events, several traffic accidents were reported in East Hesse over the course of two days, resulting in various degrees of damage and injuries.

On Wednesday, August 27, the day started with a traffic accident on Bronnzeller Straße in Engelhelms at around 6:00 AM. A cyclist, a 28-year-old individual, fell and suffered light injuries. The incident caused the highway to be temporarily fully closed in both directions. The estimated property damage was around 5,000 euros.

Later in the day, at around 7:00 PM, a traffic accident occurred on Rabanusstraße in Fulda involving a 42-year-old Ford driver and a 64-year-old pedestrian. The pedestrian was slightly injured and taken to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment. The accident resulted in approximately 2,500 euros in property damage.

Another incident took place on Petersberger Straße towards Fulda at around 12:30 PM, where a 44-year-old Honda Jazz driver from Schlüchtern was involved in a collision with a cyclist. The accident resulted in approximately €20,000 worth of damage.

On the same day, a 41-year-old bicyclist collided with the rear of a parked VW-Golf on the side of the road, resulting in approximately 2,500 euros in property damage.

The day ended with a traffic accident in Bad Hersfeld involving a 39-year-old Audi driver and a 52-year-old Ford driver. The fire was caused by a technical malfunction in the axle area of a hazardous material-carrying truck. The driver of the truck, a 56-year-old individual, reacted quickly, pulled over on the emergency lane, and used both onboard fire extinguishers to delay the fire. The accident occurred at the intersection of Bahnhofstraße and Reichstraße, causing approximately €8,000 worth of damage. The driver was lightly injured and taken to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.

On Thursday, August 28, the day began with a truck catching fire on the A66 near Neuhof-Nord interchange, heading towards Fulda. The fire department was able to extinguish the trailer without any hazardous material leakage.

Later in the morning, at around 11:00 AM, a traffic accident occurred on the A7 (heading north) in the exit area of the Fulda Mitte interchange.

In the afternoon, at around 9:15 AM, there was a traffic accident on L 3174 near Rödergrund involving a 20-year-old driver and a Mercedes Vito. The estimated property damage is in the mid-five-figure range.
