Collisions on Zebra Crossings
On September 15, 2020, at around 9:20 AM, an unfortunate incident occurred at a zebra crossing on Further Street in Neuss, near Burgundy Street. The incident involved an elderly woman and an 83-year-old man from Neuss.
The man was operating a small motorized vehicle, and according to witnesses, the woman was struck by the vehicle on the pedestrian crossing. Both parties were severely injured and were immediately transported to hospitals for treatment.
The area was swiftly closed off for the duration of the accident investigation, with the central traffic accident investigation team of the police in Rhein-Kreis Neuss assisting in securing the scene.
Further investigations into the accident will be handled by the responsible traffic commission, with the investigation set to take place on September 20, 2025.
