In October, the Redstone-Huntsville AUSA Chapter is hosting two significant events aimed at preserving and honouring the voices of those who fought in the Battle of Mogadishu, a fierce urban conflict in Somalia that occurred in 1993 and claimed the lives of 18 American soldiers.
"A Legacy Remembered: The Families of Black Hawk Down"
On Thursday, October 2, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Murray Hall at the Huntsville Botanical Garden (4747 Bob Wallace Ave, Huntsville, AL) will host "A Legacy Remembered: The Families of Black Hawk Down". This event will feature stories from the families of the soldiers who fought in the Battle of Mogadishu, exploring the enduring impact of the battle on the loved ones left behind.

The evening will begin with a dinner and program, offering attendees a unique opportunity to hear personal stories from those who were there.
The proceeds from both events will benefit the U.S. Veterans Memorial Museum and the Army Heritage Center Foundation, as well as the Night Stalker Association.
