The town hall has announced the introduction of a new virtual office for the Social Services department, available for a six-week trial period. This innovative service, a collaboration with ACP IT Solutions, aims to make contacting, completing bureaucratic tasks, or clarifying general concerns more convenient in the future.

Upon entering the virtual office, citizens will find employees of the Social Services department readily available via video conference. The initial pilot project for the virtual office will focus on three key areas: General Social Counseling, Education and Participation, and Caseworker for Refugees.

  • General Social Counseling is available on Thursdays from 10 am to 12 pm.
  • Education and Participation can be contacted on Thursdays from 8 am to 12 pm.
  • The Caseworker for Refugees is available every Wednesday from 9:30 am to 12 pm.

Citizens can now schedule digital appointments with these individual departments, ensuring a more streamlined and efficient process. It's important to note that personal appointments at the town hall remain possible.

The new service is part of the existing virtual office, and all data protection requirements and the highest security standards have been met to ensure the privacy and safety of its users. Johannes Bawidamann, along with IT experts, introduced this online service at its introduction.

When scheduling an appointment, the responsible contact person will invite the citizen. Wait times may occur in the virtual office, but the waiting list position will be displayed transparently to provide citizens with a clear understanding of their place in the queue.

The virtual office can be accessed at the provided website during scheduled opening hours. It's essential to note that the town hall appreciates the cooperation and understanding of its citizens as they navigate this new service during the initial trial period.

The Social Services director coordinating the pilot project of the virtual social service office is Christoph Limmer. The search results do not provide his name, but rest assured, he is leading the project to ensure its success.

The town hall looks forward to gathering feedback from its citizens during the trial period to further improve and refine the virtual office service in the future.
