Community engagement in traditional education settings

Nordhorn, September 2025 - The city of Nordhorn is inviting citizens to a public dialogue event on Tuesday, September 9, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, aimed at discussing the planned renovations to the Old School Bimolten and the surrounding open spaces. This project, identified as P 10.5 in the Dorfregion Nordhorn - Neuenhaus - Lage's Dorfentwicklungsplan, falls under the umbrella of the Verbundregion and aims to improve the living conditions of rural populations.

The event will take place in the entrance area of the Old School at Schoolsteege 8, where attendees can view concepts and preliminary designs from the commissioned planning office and the municipal building authority. A notice board will be available for attendees to leave their wishes and suggestions, and an additional information stand will provide details about other projects in the Dorfentwicklung Nordhorn - Neuenhaus - Lage region.

The renovation of the Dorfgemeinschaftshaus Bookholt has already been completed, marking the second major communal measure from Nordhorn in the Verbundregion. Unfortunately, the architect's office involved in the renovation of the Alten Schulhaus Bimolten could not be identified based on the available search results.

Representatives from the planning office and the city of Nordhorn will be present to answer questions and engage in discussions. The city seeks to gather ideas from this dialogue to refine the preliminary designs for the renovation of the Old School Bimolten and the surrounding open spaces.
