Community in Alberta urged to stay indoors due to presence of armed suspects on all-terrain vehicles: Royal Canadian Mounted Police

An Alberta woman has spoken out after falling victim to distraction theft, a common crime in which the perpetrator distracts the victim to steal their belongings. The RCMP were initially able to locate the individuals involved, but they fled the scene, leaving the investigation ongoing.

In a separate incident, more than 20 women have come forward alleging sexual assault at a Quebec spa. A class action lawsuit has been requested in response. This request comes in the wake of a manhunt for individuals equipped with firearms who were traveling on ATVs. The RCMP advised residents to remain in their homes on Friday afternoon and to not open their doors to strangers.

The search for these suspects has prompted a shelter in place advisory for the community of Calling Lake. The public is also being asked not to post anything regarding the police response to social media until the situation has been resolved. It is believed that these individuals are suspects in violent incidents in the area.

Court documents have offered new details about the case of the missing N.S. siblings, Lilly and Jack Sullivan. Meanwhile, a 40-year-old man found himself in an unusual predicament when he got stuck in a children's slide.
