Company FANR Holds Initial Customer Council Gathering for Service Enhancement
The Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) in the United Arab Emirates has taken a significant step forward in its digital transformation journey. The authority, which oversees more than 3,000 licensees using nuclear and radiation materials, recently held its first Customer Council meeting.
The meeting, attended by over 30 representatives from the UAE's nuclear and radiation sector, including Christer Viktorsson, the Director-General of FANR, and H.E. Al Hammadi, the chairman of FANR, marked a crucial milestone in FANR's modernization initiative.
FANR is modernizing its smart licensing systems to strengthen regulatory effectiveness and improve customer service. The modernization is expected to contribute to the UAE's overall digital transformation and is part of the UAE Government's broader efforts to improve public service.
One of the key aspects of FANR's modernization is the integration of artificial intelligence into its systems through the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme. This programme seeks to upgrade systems used by FANR, aiming to remove unnecessary digital hurdles and streamline approvals. The integration of AI is intended to increase transparency and efficiency, benefiting all FANR's licensees.
During the meeting, a workshop was held where attendees presented recommendations to improve FANR's operations and customer experience. The meeting reaffirmed FANR's regulatory mandate to protect the public and environment, while also underscoring its commitment to service excellence.
The modernization of FANR's systems is not just about improving efficiency; it's about enhancing the overall customer experience. Christer Viktorsson, the Director-General of FANR, stated that the meeting underscores FANR's commitment to service excellence, aiming to provide a seamless, digital-first experience for its customers.
The UAE Government's Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme is being implemented by FANR as part of its mission to provide a more customer-centric approach. By modernizing its systems, FANR is not only staying at the forefront of technological advancements but also ensuring it remains a trusted regulator in the nuclear and radiation sector.
As FANR continues its digital transformation journey, it is clear that the authority is committed to delivering a more efficient, transparent, and customer-focused service. With the integration of AI and the modernization of its systems, FANR is set to play a significant role in the UAE's digital transformation and the nuclear and radiation sector.
