Company MSQ Experiences 16.5% Revenue Boost in 2020-2021 After Purchasing Multiple Advertising Agencies
In the recently concluded financial year, marketing services group MSQ announced a significant revenue growth of 16.5% to 93 million pounds ($132 million). This growth was primarily due to a series of strategic acquisitions.
The acquisitions, which took place in September 2020, included The Gate, Holmes & Marchant, MBAstack, Smarts, Stein IAS, twentysix, and Walk-In Media. These agencies were not part of the earlier acquisitions from the Be Heard Partnership, which included Agenda21, Freemavens, and MMT Digital.
The acquisitions were a key part of MSQ's growth strategy, contributing to the impressive revenue increase. However, it's important to note that the year-over-year organic growth for MSQ remained flat at 0%.
The acquisitions did not affect the performance of the agencies acquired from Be Heard, as the growth in revenue was primarily due to the new additions. The total revenue for the last financial year, including the revenue from the acquired agencies, was 93 million pounds ($132 million).
MSQ's founders, CEO Peter Reid and chairman Roger Parry, led a management buyout in 2011 when the firm was still known as Media Square. Since then, they have steered the company towards strategic growth, including the recent acquisitions.
The financial year for MSQ ended on Feb. 28, 2021, marking the end of a successful period for the company. Despite the challenging times, MSQ has managed to navigate the market and achieve significant growth.
This news underscores MSQ's commitment to growth and innovation, as they continue to expand their services and offerings to meet the needs of their clients in the ever-evolving marketing landscape.
