The small town of Teterow in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern was filled with life and excitement as it hosted its 20th edition of the Teterow Open festival. Hundreds of people flocked to the town's shopping mile, basking in the warm sunshine, to enjoy a day full of information, flea market stands, culinary delights, and culture.

One of the highlights of the festival was the performance by the Nordlichter kindergarten, who took to the stage at the Teterow open. The music school's student band, the shawm band, and the Teterow string orchestra, under the direction of Roswitha Becker, also performed, adding a musical touch to the festivities.

Ellinor Koch, a 20-year-old Teterower, traveled 700 kilometers from Eichstaett, Bavaria, to participate in the festival. Ellinor has been moderating the Teterow Open for the past four years, and considers it a must. In fact, Petra Luhmann, a regular at the festival for 14 years, expressed her joy and happiness about her years of participation.

Petra Luhmann's store, "Ankleidezimmer", will close by the end of the year. As a thank you for her commitment, the city of Teterow presented her with a gift. On Saturday, Petra's models walked the runway for the last time as she is retiring.

The Teterow Open festival featured a variety of performances, including music and cultural events. The city festival involved more than 50 shops, businesses, associations, and tradespeople. Jana Koch from the Teterow tourist information commented on the success of the festival, stating that the weather was cooperative, the city was fuller than ever, and the guests from partner cities were impressed by the bustle in the city centre.

Despite the closure of Petra Luhmann's store, the spirit of the Teterow Open festival remains strong. With its rich history and vibrant atmosphere, it continues to attract visitors from far and wide, promising another successful edition in the years to come.
