Complimentary Wi-Fi Access Now Available at the RV Park
In a move to improve digital inclusion for tourists and campervan guests, the city of Nordhorn has extended its free Wi-Fi network. The popular tourist spot, Vechtesee, now offers free internet access, making it even more appealing to visitors.
The extension of the Wi-Fi network was carried out in collaboration with partner The Cloud Networks Germany GmbH. The Wi-Fi system at the campervan parking area by the Vechtesee is broadcast under the name "FREE WIFI NOH". Users can access the Wi-Fi easily, quickly, and without registration.
The Wi-Fi system installed at Vechtesee allows for anonymous frequency measurement, which could provide valuable insights for future tourist infrastructure development. The system is part of a larger city-wide network that covers large parts of the city center, Stadtpark, Vechtestrand, and Blankeplatz. The location is integrated into the existing city-wide network.
The city of Nordhorn bears the operational costs and all costs for installation, service, and maintenance. The goal of the Wi-Fi extension in Nordhorn is to improve the quality of stay for visitors and enhance the project's aim to provide a better experience for tourists.
With this extension, Vechtesee joins the city-wide network, offering free internet access to campervan guests. This initiative is expected to attract more visitors and contribute to the tourism industry in Nordhorn.
