Concert of renowned band in Germany cancelled – their decision echoes loudly

In a series of unfortunate events, the much-anticipated concerts of the legendary German synth-pop band Camouflage in Schwerin and Neubrandenburg have been cancelled. The insolvency of the event agency Arivati, responsible for organising these shows, has left fans feeling bitter and frustrated.

The announcement of the cancellations was made via Facebook by Camouflage themselves, who had previously kept their fans informed and expressed their disappointment at not being able to perform in Schwerin. The concert in Neubrandenburg on September 5, also organised by Arivati, has also been cancelled, leaving some fans doubly affected as they had tickets for both Mesh and Camouflage.

International visitors are particularly hard hit due to the concert cancellations, with a Danish fan reporting planning to travel specifically for this event and booking hotel accommodation. The insolvency administrator of Arivati, responsible for these concerts, is not publicly disclosed.

Camouflage, one of the most influential representatives of the synth-pop genre from Germany, is known for their timeless classics such as "The great commandment" and "Love is a shield", which are still played on the radio. Fans have expressed gratitude for having seen the band at other events, but are left disappointed by the cancellations.

The insolvency administrator informed Camouflage that the necessary funds for the performances are no longer available. Arivati stated in its official statement that no economically viable solution could be found for the concert event by Camouflage on August 15 in Schwerin.

Camouflage have expressed disappointment that they have not received an official press release despite repeated inquiries. The organiser Arivati has expressed hope to make it up at another time for the fans who bought tickets and planned to attend the concerts.

Further planned events by the organiser, including performances by Das Ich, Pro-Pain, and Dr. Motte, as well as the "Dark East" festival in 2026 in Bautzen, are unclear at this point. There is some positive news from a legendary chain store, although not all stores can be saved after the insolvency.

As the fan community reels from the news, the reactions are predictably frustrated. Camouflage hopes to make it up at another time, and fans can only wait and hope for a rescheduled concert.
