Conservative figure JD Vance continues to maintain his stand, choosing not to acknowledge that Donald Trump lost the 2020 presidential election.
In the midst of the 2024 presidential race, JD Vance, the Republican vice presidential candidate, has been making waves with his stance on various issues.
Vance, who previously called Donald Trump an "idiot" and a "whack job," was once considered as a potential vice-presidential candidate for the former president. However, their relationship seems to have evolved, as Vance has chosen to run as Trump's running mate in this election.
In a recent interview, Vance stated that "the people who are most deranged and most psychotic are the ones who don't have kids at home." This comment, along with his refusal to acknowledge Joe Biden's 2020 presidential win during a debate, has sparked controversy and questions about his views.
Vance, however, remains focused on the election of 33 days from now. His primary goal is to remove Vice President Kamala Harris from office and implement common-sense economic policies.
The race between Trump and Harris has been intense, with Harris and her allies raising $310 million during the July money race, compared to $139 million raised by Trump and his supporters.
The focus of Trump's campaign has been the 2020 presidential election, with Trump denying his loss and pressing his vice president, Mike Pence, to overturn the results. This led to a split between Trump and Pence, with rioters storming the Capitol during the ceremonial certification of the 2021 election results and some chanting that they wanted to "hang Mike Pence."
Trump's denial of his 2020 election loss has also led to federal criminal charges, which he has pleaded not guilty. Vance, when asked about this, refused to say who he believed won the 2020 presidential election.
Despite the controversies, Vance has spoken about the need for secure elections and believes the 2024 election will be "the safest and most secure election." As the race heats up, voters will be closely watching Vance and Trump's campaign strategies and policies.
