Construction and Renovation of Oberseestraße 1 Taking Place in Lichtenberg, under HOWOGE's Supervision

In the heart of Berlin-Lichtenberg, construction works are underway on a new and innovative residential project at Oberseestraße 1 / Oranke 40. The project is being led by HOWOGE, a company renowned for its residential construction projects in the area.

The project, which commenced in March 2025, combines the renovation of an existing building with the construction of a new one. Upon completion in March 2026, the project will offer a total of 14 modern apartments, with 4 in the renovated old building and 10 in the new building.

HOWOGE's focus on efficiency standards and barrier-free living is evident in the project's design. The new apartments in the ground floor of the new building will be barrier-free, ensuring accessibility for all. The existing building will meet the Efficiency House Standard 85 upon completion, while the new building will meet the higher energy standard 55.

To further reduce the project's carbon footprint, a photovoltaic system will be installed on the roof of the new building. This renewable energy source will generate power, reducing operating costs for future tenants and contributing to climate protection.

In addition to the apartments, the project includes a new playground for children in the courtyard and 22 bicycle parking spaces, most of which will be covered. This focus on sustainability extends beyond the energy aspect, aiming to promote an active and eco-friendly lifestyle.

Modern heat pump technology and decentralized hot water preparation will be used for energy supply, ensuring a comfortable living environment while minimizing energy consumption.

The project is not just about creating modern apartments; it's about contributing to the upgrading of the neighbourhood. By meeting efficiency standards and incorporating sustainable features, the project is setting a positive example for future developments in the area.

As the project progresses through its advanced high-rise phase, with the facades scaffolded and windows not yet installed, it promises to be a significant addition to the Berlin-Lichtenberg landscape.
