In a significant stride towards a more sustainable society, OX2's Annopol I wind farm project in Poland has been successfully completed. Financed by PKO Bank Polski, this project is one of OX2's endeavours in the Polish market.

The Annopol I wind farm, sponsored by OX2, will have a total capacity of 40 MW and is located in the Gościeradów municipality, Lubelskie Voivodship. OX2, an international, independent power producer, offers end-to-end solutions - from planning and construction to sale and operation.

Tomasz Rogalski, finance workstream leader at OX2, was supported by a team that included partners Karolina Lepakiewicz, Antoni Krzyżanowski, and associates Karolina Lepakiewicz and Jakub Wiatrzyk. The legal due diligence workstream was led by counsel Cezary Zawiślak and included associate Martyna Orłowska, lawyer Nina Strzelczyk, and lawyers Mikołaj Rydzewski.

Global law firm X played a pivotal role in the project. They advised PKO Bank Polski on a EUR 90 million financing for the Annopol I onshore wind farm in Poland. The international law firm White & Case also contributed to the financing of the project.

Partner Arturo Sferruzza, senior associate Igor Kondratowicz-Laderski, and lawyer Regan Eastwood from the Milan office of law firm X advised on English law aspects. From Kromann Reumert, partner Kumaran Thavarajah and associate Markus Ulrik Leding provided Danish law advice for the project.

Counsel Krzysztof Gorzelak and lawyer Antoni Krzyżanowski advised on the hedging aspects of the project. The Annopol I wind farm project involved various financing facilities and a complex, multi-jurisdictional structure.

The successful completion of the Annopol I wind farm project demonstrates the effectiveness of close cooperation between banks, sponsors, and legal advisors in making ambitious renewable energy investments a reality. This project represents an important step in increasing renewable energy in Poland's energy mix.

As of the present, OX2's project portfolio totals 25,526 MW in various stages of development. OX2 has been accelerating the energy transition since 2004, contributing to a more sustainable society across nine markets. The Annopol I wind farm project was delivered under a demanding timeline, further testament to OX2's commitment to renewable energy.
