Construction on Romerstraat commences, causing traffic to be redirected

In the coming weeks, construction works will impact traffic and public transport in the Leo-Center area. Here's what you need to know:

Starting from Sunday, August 24, traffic will be rerouted via Leonberger Straße, Glemseckstraße, and Berliner Straße. This diversion is expected to last throughout the construction period.

On the same day, the bus service will be rerouted from the Römerstraße stop. Passengers will need to travel via Römerstraße and Hindenburgstraße instead. A replacement stop will be set up on Hindenburgstraße at house number 85.

The Leo-Center stop 2 will not be served by lines 92, 640, and 651 on Sunday, August 24, between 7 am and approximately 10 am. The affected departure times at the Leo-Center stop 2 are: Line 92 - 7:21, 8:21, and 9:21 am; Line 640 - 8:50 and 9:50 am; Line 651 - 8:21 and 9:21 am.

Residents with driveway, parking lot, or underground garage access in the closed area are requested to avoid entering and exiting as much as possible during the construction period. In exceptional cases, access may be granted after consultation with the construction site personnel.

The Römerstraße will remain accessible up to the junction with Lindenbergerstraße on the eastern side. However, entry and exit to the Römerstraße will not be possible from Neuköllner Platz or Neuköllner Straße during the construction period.

On Monday, August 25, and Tuesday, August 26, the bus service of line 642 will be rerouted via Leonberger Straße, Glemseckstraße, and Berliner Straße.

It's important to note that these disruptions are not limited to Leo-Center. From August 25 to August 26, 2025, Munich S-Bahn lines RE 1 and RB 16 will also experience timetable changes, as well as disturbances on S7 between Hauptbahnhof and Wolfratshausen starting August 27.

Additionally, in the Mainz-Ingelheim area, bus lines 79 and 80 are affected by road closures starting August 25, causing significant route changes and reductions in service, especially on lines 79 and 80.

Finally, the ASG stop in the direction of Leo-Center will not be served by lines 640 and 651 on Sunday, August 24.
