Construction site imposes one-way traffic restriction for approximately three weeks

Motorists travelling on the Kirchhellener Ring should be prepared for changes and delays as construction on the road has been extended for an additional two weeks. Originally scheduled to last three weeks, the construction is now expected to continue until around the 1st of October.

During this period, both intersections on the Kirchhellener Ring will be affected, with the traffic flow reversed. Instead of the usual direction, traffic will now flow from Gartenstraße towards Hauptstraße. This change aims to facilitate the construction of a district heating pipeline, which will commence on the 8th of September.

The company responsible for this construction is Iqony. The pipeline construction will start at the intersection of Gartenstraße and continue along the Kirchhellener Ring, ending between Hauptstraße and Gartenstraße.

To manage traffic during this period, additional measures will be implemented. Detours will be signposted, and the Kirchhellener Ring will remain a one-way street. Motorists should expect delays and plan their journeys accordingly.

The signposted detours for motorists during the construction period will be revised to reflect the extended duration. Motorists are advised to stay updated on the latest detour information to avoid any inconvenience.

The construction on the Kirchhellener Ring is part of ongoing efforts to improve the city's infrastructure. While the changes may cause temporary disruptions, they are essential for long-term benefits. Motorists are encouraged to be patient and follow the signposted detours during this period.
