Cool and damp weather begins the workweek in BW
Baden-Württemberg is bracing for a week of cool and wet weather, according to the German Weather Service (DWD). The weather is expected to improve by mid-week, offering some respite from the rain.
Starting from the beginning of the week, rain and showers are expected to move in, with Monday being the wettest day. Smaller thunderstorms are also predicted for this period, particularly on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, further, locally heavy and occasionally thunderstorm-accompanied rain is expected.
On Sunday, many parts of Baden-Württemberg are expected to experience sunshine, albeit with cirrus clouds and moist air. Temperatures on this day will range between 24 and 28 degrees. However, temperatures are predicted to drop to between 22 and 26 degrees across Baden-Württemberg on Monday.
The risk of severe weather will decrease as temperatures drop, the DWD has announced. No severe weather is expected on Sunday, but towards the west, isolated thunderstorms are not ruled out by the DWD on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, temperatures will be cooler, between 20 and 24 degrees. The cirrus clouds will move eastwards in the night from Monday to Tuesday.
In a statement made on Wednesday, the DWD spokesperson announced that the weather situation in Baden-Württemberg would calm down from midweek. However, the spokesperson's name has not been made available in the search results.
On Wednesday, new, partly heavy and prolonged rain is expected to move in from the south, especially in the southeastern part of Baden-Württemberg. Temperatures on this day will be even cooler, reaching only 17 to 22 degrees.
The good news is that by Thursday, the weather is predicted to improve, and the DWD expects the rain to ease off in the night from Wednesday to Thursday. The weather will calm down from the middle of the week, starting on Thursday.
Smaller thunderstorms may still be expected during this period, but overall, the weather is expected to become more favourable for the remainder of the week.
