Celebrate Science at Universum Bremen's 25th Anniversary

The Universum science center in Bremen is gearing up for a month-long celebration of its 25th anniversary, starting on September 1st. Visitors can look forward to daily shows, interactive experiments, and a special mobile knowledge kiosk event.

During the anniversary month, the Science Show at the Universum will run three times a day: at 12 pm, 3 pm, and on weekends at 1:30 pm. The show features thrilling experiments explaining various birthday phenomena, such as why balloons move around a room when released, how to blow out a birthday candle from a distance, and if two balloons can inflate each other. The audience is encouraged to participate, guessing and experimenting together in a fun and interactive atmosphere.

On September 14th, the Universum invites visitors to explore the mobile knowledge kiosk for free. This event, which takes place on the Universum's plaza, focuses on experiments related to human senses. Visitors can try faceted eye glasses, whisper tubes, and balancing stations to learn more about their senses in a hands-on way.

For curious children, there's a free event on September 14th from 2 pm to 6:30 pm on the Universum's plaza. The day includes a variety of experiments and activities designed to engage and educate young minds.

It's important to note that the anniversary Science Show at the Universum does not run on weekdays at any time other than 12 pm and 3 pm. Additionally, the show will not be presented on October 1st.

Over the past 25 years, the Universum has welcomed over 7 million visitors, and this anniversary celebration promises to be a memorable one. The organizer of the anniversary show is the Bremen concert promoter Jan Trautmann.

So, mark your calendars and join the Universum in celebrating a quarter of a century of science, fun, and learning. Whether you're a lifelong learner or just looking for a fun day out, there's something for everyone at the Universum's 25th anniversary celebration.
