Crash at Intersection Leaves One Hurt in Head-On Impact
On Sunday evening, October 13th, a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Talblick and Ittertalstraße, causing minor disruptions and resulting in one person being injured.
The incident involved a Mercedes, which was travelling along Ittertalstraße and attempting to turn left towards Märchenwald, colliding with a Smart that had the right of way. Both vehicles suffered significant damage and were no longer roadworthy, necessitating their removal from the scene.
The injured individual was swiftly attended to by an emergency doctor and subsequently transported to a hospital by ambulance. However, their identity has not been publicly disclosed.
The accident led to the closure of Ittertalstraße for approximately 30 minutes as rescue operations and an investigation took place. The total material damage from the accident was estimated to be several thousand euros.
The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine the cause and any potential contributing factors. The traffic disruptions have since been resolved, and the intersection is now open to vehicles.
