In the quiet town of Schwalmstadt, Germany, a series of unusual incidents occurred between March 17 and March 18, 2025. The Schwalm-Eder Police Directorate has issued a press release detailing the thefts that took place in the Westweg and Eisenwinkelweg areas.

According to the press release, three vehicles of different makes were targeted during the crime. In one case, the thieves smashed the rear right window of the car to gain access, while in another, the car was not properly locked, and cash in the low four-digit range along with bank cards were stolen. In the third case, the car was parked under a carport and locked, but the thieves gained entry in an unknown manner. However, they did not take anything from the third vehicle.

The press release also stated that in one case, the thieves only took cigarettes despite searching for valuables. In another instance, the thieves left the scene without taking anything after their search. The exact method used by the thieves to gain entry in the third case remains unknown.

The Schwalm-Eder Police Directorate has not released any information regarding specific individuals involved in these thefts. Witnesses who saw suspicious persons or vehicles in the Westweg and Eisenwinkelweg areas between March 17 and March 18 are asked to contact the Schwalmstadt police station.
