Criminals suspected of vehicle burglary apprehended by authorities
In the early hours of this morning, a shocking incident unfolded on Beckhausstraße in Bielefeld, Germany. A 37-year-old and a 42-year-old suspect, both known to the police, are at the centre of the investigation.
The incident began at around 08:10 AM when a suspicious man, later identified as the 37-year-old suspect, broke the window of a parked Skoda car near Lehmstich Street. Witnesses attempted to film the perpetrator, causing an accomplice, a 42-year-old man, to notice and warn him.
The suspect reached into the vehicle, but was temporarily arrested near the scene of the crime by patrol officers. However, both suspects managed to flee on foot across Beckhausstraße towards the roundabout and then in the direction of the city outskirts. Another man, aged 42, was observed standing nearby and watching the surroundings.
The two arrested suspects have been identified as Polish nationals. The 42-year-old is known to the police, while the identity of the 37-year-old suspect is still being verified. The suspects have since left the police station after police measures were taken, and criminal proceedings have been initiated against them.

The two arrested suspects come from Nigeria and Morocco, but the police are yet to release further details about their identities. The investigation is ongoing, and the Bielefeld Police Headquarters has appealed for any witnesses or anyone with information related to the incident to come forward.
