CS: GO players stand to win 2 million in prize money and receive 150,000 free bets courtesy of BetBoom.
The BetBoom All-Star 2x2 tournament, a significant event in the CS:GO gaming community, is set to take place on August 26-27. Organized by Electronic Mushroom, this large-scale competition boasts a total prize fund of 2 million rubles, with four prize-winning spots up for grabs.
The event will be streamed live on Shadowkek's Twitch channel, with FAnder, Zoner, and GrOm_0_ZeKa serving as commentators. Each team will consist of two individuals, with the lineup including Danistzz and Paradeevich, Desout and Recrent, Skywhywalker and Karavay, Degster and Cooman, Nafany and Nix, and Stanislaw x Shadowkek.
The tournament follows a specific format: Group Stage, Play-offs, and Grand Final. In the Group Stage, teams will face off in a round-robin system, with matches being played in a best-of-one format. The top four pairs from the group stage will advance to the Single Elimination Play-offs, where they will battle it out in a bo3 format in the semifinals. The Grand Final will be a best-of-five series.
The winning team must secure 9 rounds, and if there's a tie after 16 rounds, the winner will be determined by an additional 4 rounds, up to three victories. The first place winner will receive a substantial 500,000 rubles, with the second place winner taking home 250,000 rubles. The third and fourth place winners will each receive 125,000 rubles.
Nikita Koroteev, the head of the production department at BC BetBoom, believes that such esports competitions can reveal the process of rivalry and its presentation in a new light. Additionally, there will be additional prizes distributed among those who score points in the special individual actions table, with the most active and valuable player receiving 200,000 rubles.
The participating teams in the BetBoom All-Star 2x2 tournament on August 26 and 27 are the All-Star teams from CSKA, Zenit, Lokomotiv, Spartak, Sochi, Krasnodar, Rubin, and Fakel. The tournament will also feature six professional teams consisting of leading players and streamers.
For those watching at home, BetBoom will give away 150,000 free bets to tournament viewers, with details to be announced soon. The event will also be broadcast live on the channels of the participating teams.
