In the heart of Weimar (Lahn), near Marburg, a new Bicycle Service Station has been installed by ADAC Hessen-Thüringia e.V. This convenient location, situated at the entrance to the Seepark – a popular watersports centre on the Lahn Valley Cycle Route – is set to provide a valuable service for cyclists, as well as users of prams, skateboards, and wheelchairs.

Mayor Markus Herrmann and Wolfgang Herda, traffic expert of ADAC Hessen-Thuringia, officiated the opening of the service station. Herda, known for his expertise on safe driving rules and traffic safety, including topics like E-scooter regulations and driving safely around agricultural vehicles, was instrumental in the project's realisation.

The Bicycle Service Station is designed for quick help with minor bicycle troubles, such as flat tires or loose screws. It is also equipped to handle minor repairs to prams, skateboards, or wheelchairs. The station is part of a larger initiative by the ADAC to install repair columns throughout Germany, with over 200 such stations already in place at popular cycling routes across the country.

The service station in Weimar (Lahn) is accessible around the clock and free for everyone. It is also equipped with various tools, including a foot air pump with manometer, tire lever, and various tool keys. A QR code on the station leads to helpful videos on the ADAC website, providing additional guidance for cyclists.
