Cycling accident in Herne: Police search for the cyclist involved
On Wednesday, September 3rd, a distressing incident occurred on Blücherstraße in the neighbourhood of Herne-Horsthausen. A 16-year-old resident of Herne was riding an E-scooter at around 2:30 PM when he was involved in an accident with an unknown cyclist.
The 16-year-old sustained minor injuries in the accident. The accident happened when the unknown cyclist struck the 16-year-old from the side as he was merging onto the bike lane at house number 75.
The unknown cyclist is described as a slim man about 30-35 years old, approximately 180 cm tall, with a shaved head, unkempt teeth, wearing dark work clothes, and speaking German without an accent. After the accident, he inquired about the 16-year-old's condition but provided false personal information during police investigations.
The police are currently seeking the unknown cyclist in connection with the accident in Herne-Horsthausen. Witnesses or the cyclist himself are urged to contact the police.
