Region Hannover and Umweltzentrum Hannover, in collaboration with the city's own school competition, are organising the Bike to Work 2025 event in Garbsen. This annual initiative encourages residents to swap their cars for bicycles and cycle to work between May 18th and June 7th.

Every kilometer cycled during this period counts towards the total, and last year, Garbsen clocked an impressive 175,000 kilometers. The event's goal is to promote a sustainable lifestyle and reduce carbon emissions.

Mayor Claudio Provenzano and Garbsen's Environmental Officer Randi Diestel are encouraging participation in Bike to Work 2025. Diestel particularly urges residents to make the switch, stating, "It's a great opportunity to contribute to a greener city while also getting some exercise."

The top ten individual cyclists from Garbsen will be honoured at a cyclist's barbecue. Meanwhile, a school competition is also being organised, with money prizes and honours for the primary school class and class from further education schools that cycle the most kilometers.

Participation in Bike to Work 2025 is free, and registration can be done at www.biketowork.de. Kilometer sheets can be submitted to the town hall or sent by email by June 11th. For any inquiries, contact ADFC at (0 51 31) 5 57 84 or the city administration at (0 51 31) 70 74 79.

ADFC Garbsen-Seelze is also supporting the city in Bike to Work 2025. The Bike to Work logo is being painted on streets and paths to mark the event.

Unfortunately, the search results did not provide information about who else is supporting the Bike to Work 2025 initiative in Garbsen. However, the enthusiasm and support from the city officials and organisations involved are a testament to the event's importance and potential impact.

So, whether you're a regular cyclist or new to the saddle, join the Bike to Work 2025 movement and help make Garbsen a greener, healthier city. Let's pedal our way to a sustainable future!
