In an unfortunate incident that took place on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m., a collision occurred between a cyclist and a motorist in the city of Konstanz, Germany. The accident occurred on a bridge that crosses the federal road B27, from Aussiedlerhöfen towards Friedhofweg.

According to the police statement, the motorist was driving a Kia and initially followed the cyclist before overtaking her on the left. However, the collision occurred during an overtaking maneuver, as the cyclist, a 62-year-old woman, did not keep to her lane.

Upon impact, the woman fell and suffered minor injuries. The motorist, despite initially wanting to continue, was able to stop the woman. Emergency services examined the woman at the scene of the accident.

It was later found that the woman involved in the accident had an alcohol level of over 2.4 per mille during an examination by emergency services. This information was not available in the initial police statement or in the search results.
