In the early hours of August 21, a shocking incident unfolded on Ventura Boulevard. Pop sensation Lil Nas X found himself in the midst of controversy, leading to his arrest and subsequent legal proceedings.

The incident was captured on camera, showing Lil Nas X, real name Montero Lamar Hill, dancing and singing down the busy street. In one bystander clip, he could be seen sporting a traffic cone on his head. The performance took a dramatic turn when he stripped down to nothing, singing Nicki Minaj's lyrics from Kanye West's "Monster."

The situation escalated when Lil Nas X allegedly charged at officers as they attempted to detain him. According to reports, he punched an officer twice in the face, leading to his arrest for misdemeanor battery on a police officer.

Lil Nas X expressed remorse for the incident, calling it "f-king terrifying" on social media. He was represented by a defense attorney during his court proceedings and pleaded not guilty to the charges in a Los Angeles court following his arrest.

Witnesses notified the Los Angeles Police Department of Lil Nas X's sighting, and law enforcement arrived at the scene around 5:50 a.m local time. After the incident, Lil Nas X was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for a possible overdose.

The visit to the hospital was followed by a visit to jail, where Lil Nas X's father, Robert Stafford, paid him a visit. Stafford cried upon seeing his son in jail, a poignant moment that was reported by The Sunday Times in an interview with Stafford, published on Friday.

Lil Nas X pleaded not guilty to the charges and spent a weekend in jail. He was released on Monday after a Los Angeles judge ordered him to attend rehab meetings. The pop star was seen wearing only white underwear and white cowboy boots as he left the jail, a stark contrast to the wild events that led to his arrest.

Despite the incident, Lil Nas X has not been charged with any felonies, unlike his associate Hill, who was charged with four felonies, including resisting an executive officer and battery with injury on a police officer.

This incident marked a turning point in Lil Nas X's career, following a reported "breakdown" and arrest in Los Angeles. As the dust settles, fans and critics alike are left to wonder what the future holds for the controversial star.
