Delaware Announces Strong June Financial Outcomes

Delaware's online casino market experienced a significant boost in June 2021, with Delaware Park leading the pack with a total net gaming revenue of $2.68 million. Close behind were Harrington with $1.4 million and Bally's with $906,939.

These figures mark a notable increase from the soft launch on Dec. 27, 2020, when Delaware opened its online sportsbook and re-launched its three online casinos: Delaware Park, Bally's Dover Casino, and Harrington Raceway & Casino.

The Delaware Lottery, which oversees gaming in the state, reported a total net gaming revenue of over $5 million for June in the state's online casino market. This revenue helps finance various state services in Delaware.

In addition to the sportsbook, a new menu of online casino games was rolled out. The BetRivers App powers all three state online casinos in Delaware, with the Delaware Lottery launching its first online sportsbook under the BetRivers banner in January.

Unfortunately, House Bill 365, which would have authorized two skins for each of the state's three casinos, did not pass during the state's legislative session that ended in June 2021.

Looking at the revenue trends, the online casino market in Delaware is showing promising growth. In January, the total net gaming revenue for the Delaware online casino market was $3.4 million, and in May, it reached $3.9 million. However, a slight dip was observed in July 2023, with total net gaming revenue just under $1.2 million.

As the online casino market continues to evolve in Delaware, it will be interesting to see how these trends develop in the future.
