Saxony, Germany, is currently undergoing a significant period of construction and renovation, causing traffic disruptions throughout the region.

In Hoyerswerda, a complete renovation for barrier-free access is underway, with the project scheduled to continue until 2027. Meanwhile, the city center of Aue (B283) is under construction until spring 2026.

Marienberg (B171) is also undergoing renovations through its town center, while in the Erzgebirgskreis, Dittersdorf (B180) is undergoing road resurfacing west of the town until the end of the year. Torgau is creating new bike lanes and renewing the road surface on Warschauer Straße (B182).

The Leipzig - Dresden railway line is undergoing construction from mid-September to mid-December, causing longer travel times for long-distance trains and some regional trains not stopping at all. In October, there will be further closures on the Dresden-Klotzsche - Königsbrück and Delitzsch - Bitterfeld lines.

The south tube of the A4 Tunnel Königshainer Berge is closed until the end of 2025, and the A4 near Wilsdruff is undergoing road resurfacing until December, with the exit towards Aachen closed until the end of the year. A72 near Chemnitz is undergoing road resurfacing until December, with the Chemnitz-South and Chemnitz-Rottluff on-ramps temporarily closed.

Additional traffic construction sites in Saxony include road and bridge work on the A4 near Wilsdruff and Chemnitz, A72 near Chemnitz, and A17 near Pirna. The full closure of Rottwerndorfer Straße in Pirna, partial road closures and bus stop relocations in Dresden and Oelsa, and a full closure of the K 8714 near Elbersdorf for water and sewer pipeline replacement from August to October 2025 are also ongoing.

The Dresden Altmarkt-Freital Ost line is closed from November 7 to 11, with buses running as a replacement. The over 100-year-old station hall in Görlitz is being renovated, and a bridge repair is underway on the Girbigsdorfer Straße in Görlitz.

Construction on the Seidewitztal bridge renovation is taking place on the A17 near Pirna from mid-August to the end of October. In addition, Torgau is creating new bike lanes and renewing the road surface on Warschauer Straße (B182).

Despite these disruptions, no new city center construction was mentioned in this article. Furthermore, no new information about construction in Aue, Marienberg, Geithain, Dittersdorf, or Torgau was provided.
