Delivery services company Cargus teams up with Agroland, a Romanian retailer, to broaden its distribution points across the country.
Agroland, a Romanian company listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, has announced a new partnership with courier company Cargus. This collaboration aims to significantly expand Cargus' parcel pick-up and drop-off network, benefiting both companies' customer bases.
Founded in TimiΘoara in 1997, Agroland has grown to operate in multiple sectors, including retail and agribusiness. With a network of approximately 245 owned and franchise units across 30 counties, the company caters to a diverse customer base in urban and rural areas. Agroland's portfolio includes products for gardening, pets, small farms, and households, making it a popular choice for many Romanians.
The partnership with Cargus will see the integration of 100 Cargus SHIP & GO points into the Agroland network. These points will become operational by the end of this year, adding to Cargus' existing network of 22 functional SHIP & GO points. The collaboration is expected to facilitate parcel delivery for customers of both Cargus and Agroland in various locations, strengthening Cargus' presence in urban and rural areas.
Cargus, a courier company with a cross-border hub in Poland for international courier services, was previously owned by Sameday. Sameday, a courier company backed by eMag, sold Cargus to Grundig Business Systems in June. Sameday operates five national sorting centres, two gateway depots, and 36 warehouses across the country.
The partnership between Agroland and Cargus marks an exciting development for both companies. As Agroland continues to grow and expand its reach, this collaboration will undoubtedly contribute to a more seamless and efficient delivery experience for customers nationwide.
