Dental appointment escalates into a state of urgency
In an unexpected turn of events, a dental appointment in Euskirchen-Stotzheim took an unexpected turn on August 25th at 5:20 PM. A 20-year-old patient, whose identity remains undisclosed, had an outburst of anger during the visit.
The dental appointment ended unconventionally when the patient, frustrated or upset, kicked doors within the practice. As the appointment concluded, the patient did not receive a new filling or leave with a smile as usual. Instead, the patient left the dental practice with a bit more drama.
Upon exiting the dental practice, the 20-year-old patient picked up a metal rod from the sidewalk. The patient then targeted a 64-year-old passerby, attempting to strike them with the metal rod. Fortunately, the passerby was able to deflect the blow with her backpack.
The patient's actions did not stop there. In a further display of disruptive behaviour, the 20-year-old kicked the glass entrance of a residential building, causing property damage in the low four-figure range in euros. The criminal police have initiated investigations into both the property damage and the attempted dangerous bodily harm.
Despite the patient's unusual behaviour, the interior of the dental practice remained intact. The dental team's nerves, however, were likely affected by the patient's actions.
As the police arrived at the scene, the 20-year-old patient had already disappeared. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining composure during stressful situations, and the consequences that can arise from losing one's temper.
