Dental clinic Parkview Dental takes over the periodontics and dental implants practice of Dr. Douglas Wendt; welcomes new associate dentist, Dr. Ken Ross.
In a move to strengthen its regional footprint, Parkview Dental Partners, a dental services provider backed by global private equity firm Cathay Capital, has announced the acquisition of Ross and Wendt, Periodontics and Dental Implants, a practice based in Brandon, Florida.
Founded by Dr. Douglas C. Wendt, Jr., the practice has been serving the West Coast of Florida for many years. Since March 2025, PerioHealth Partners has been operating under the name PerioHealth Brandon. With this acquisition, the practice will now operate as Ross and Wendt, Periodontics and Dental Implants.
Dr. Douglas C. Wendt, Jr., the practice's founder, will be transitioning the practice to Dr. Ken Ross, a periodontist with over 25 years of experience on the West Coast of Florida. Dr. Wendt expressed confidence that Dr. Ross and the team at Parkview Dental will continue to lead the practice and build upon the strong foundation established by the previous practice.
The acquisition expands Parkview Dental's regional footprint, bringing the total number of practices to 25. Rene Sauerteig, CEO of Parkview, stated that the acquisition reflects their commitment to increasing the breadth of Parkview's services and providing better patient care.
