The Press Office of the State Capital Wiesbaden has announced that the elevator connecting the Kransand area on the Rhine with the transportation hub at the bridgehead is currently undergoing repairs. The repair work is necessary due to significant damage caused by vandalism in June.

The elevator, which offers a significant advantage for mobility-impaired individuals by comfortably overcoming the height difference, is especially beneficial for those boarding and disembarking at the bus stop "Mainz-Kastel Bridgehead".

The repair of the damaged automatic doors, which were severely affected in the incident, is expected to take approximately twelve weeks. Unfortunately, this means that the operation of the elevator will not be possible during the repair period.

The Press Office of the State Capital Wiesbaden issued a press release regarding the matter, which can be found on their website. The total repair costs for the damage are estimated to be around 6,000 euros.

Citizens with questions regarding the elevator can contact the responsible department or office for more information. It should be noted that the exact department responsible for the repair work on the damaged elevator in the city of Wiesbaden is not specified, but typically, such repairs are managed by the landlord or property management.

It is worth mentioning that the earlier reported vandalism and subsequent repair of the damaged automatic doors did not involve the elevator. The elevator at the location was commissioned in August 2024.

The Press Office of the State Capital Wiesbaden is located at Schlossplatz 6, 65183 Wiesbaden. For more updates and information, please visit their website or contact the Press Office directly.
