Destructive Graffiti at a Crane Lift Site: Property Damage Reported
The Press Office of the State Capital Wiesbaden has announced that the barrier-free elevator near the Mainz-Kastel bridgehead, which provides a direct, barrier-free connection between the Kransand area on the Rhine and the traffic hub at the bridgehead, is undergoing repairs due to vandalism that occurred in June.
The vandalism caused significant damage, resulting in approximately 6,000 euros worth of repairs. The repair of the damaged automatic doors is expected to take approximately 12 weeks, and unfortunately, the operation of the elevator is not technically possible during this period.
The elevator, installed in August 2024 by ESWE Verkehr, is particularly beneficial for mobility-impaired individuals and those using the bus stop at Mainz-Kastel Bridgehead. It offers a significant advantage in overcoming a height difference, making it easier for everyone to access the traffic hub.
For more information or queries regarding the repair project, please visit the press office website at www.wiesbaden.de/pressereferat. The Press Office of the State Capital Wiesbaden is located at Schlossplatz 6, 65183 Wiesbaden.
We encourage everyone to respect public property and report any suspicious activities to the authorities to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. Let's work together to maintain the accessibility and convenience of our city for all its residents.
